Get ready for newness from Apta: glazed & composite expansions

The Ames Companies05/09/2024

As a longstanding heritage pot brand, Apta has often led the way. Now, on the precipice of season 25, the brand returns once again with a product range that has been expanded by over 70%, with new glazed and composite designs that are sure to make pot buyers sit up and notice!

Apta Glazed
Glazed pots remain a garden centre staple. Perfect for traditional and contemporary planting schemes or those who want to add a pop of colour to their doorsteps, balconies, patios and everything in between, the latest glazed styles from Apta are sure to entice and inspire shoppers in 2025.

Leading the charge will be Apta Signature.  Featuring three collections – Eden, Obsidian, Rustica and Neptune – Apta Signature is designed to offer a more collectable, mix-and-match experience. Featuring complementary colours including blue, green, brown, antique bronze and ombre combinations, plus multiple size options, Apta Signature encourages consumers to return time and time again to expand their garden pottery collection, whilst also increasing the gifting potential of pots and planters.

What’s more, Apta Signature has been carefully considered and will come ready for retailers in a convenient, ready-to-merchandise pallet. This innovative solution allows garden centres to effortlessly receive and display the products, making it easier than ever to start selling immediately upon delivery of the pallet.

Elsewhere within Apta Glazed buyers will see sleek black and a British Racing Green inspired colourways to bolster the popular JC&Co offering, whilst the Cambridge collection will be expanded with four new shapes (cylinder, oval trough, tall planter and vase planter) making it a superb staple for any garden centre.

If that wasn’t enough, new introductions will also include Heligan with a fluted base and soft lines, the ocean-inspired Vesuvius in three blue/green colours and a volcanic textured finish, Etna, a more neutral take on the volcanic finish with each pot totally unique in its finish, plus Oyster in grey and black with an elegant swirl effect. Seven novelty pots and a new Thai Brown ‘organic’ offering will complete the extensive newness that will make Apta 2025 one to remember.

Apta Composite
One of its bestselling ranges Apta Composite pots are designed to mimic the look of stone and ceramic whilst being lightweight, frostproof and UV resistant.

Dubbed the next generation of Granito is the new Patina collection. Earthy, organic and rustically styled, Patina offers four shapes and three colour options, marking it as one that is sure to fly off the shelves.

Elsewhere in the Composite collection, a number of new trend-led designs will be introduced, each boasting a unique texture or pattern inspired by nature. Look out for Driftwood, a stunning planter seemingly forged from wood washed ashore, elsewhere Ember boasts a charred look in black charcoal and washed grey colourways, whilst Heartwood is reminiscent of ancient, fossilised wood with cube and egg planters on offer. Natural motifs can also be seen in both the Etched Palm and Ripple collections.

Grecian inspiration sets the tone for the Athena collection in both cylinder and cone shapes, whilst Hive draws its design inspiration from honeycomb, with three colourways (metallic, anthracite and grey) available. Also enjoying three colours is the Rattan collection, which is expected to be a top seller as rattan sees its star rise, whilst the sleek lines of Barbican complete the 2025 new composite additions.

Granito, one of the most popular composite designs, will see the range expanded with the introduction of two new water features, Trinity Falls and Kabe Falls. Complementing the existing Granito pots and the Ango Falls water feature, these new introductions are perfect for those shoppers who like to buy ‘the look’ and enjoy a cohesive aesthetic throughout their outdoor space.
