As the AMES Companies continues on its upward projection, firmly on its mission to being the garden retail industrys partner of choice, it has recently appointed a new Finance Director to support this growth. With two decades of experience under his belt, including manufacturing, distribution and FMCG sectors, John Thompson is the perfect fit to lead the next chapter at AMES, with the financial landscape firmly in his sights. In this new role, John will be responsible for all aspects of accounting and payroll, plus financial planning, reporting and analysis. Additionally, with significant investments already underway across the business including new warehousing and ERP systems, John will be working as part of the wider leadership team to ensure that every aspect of these investments offer real tangible value for not just its customers but also the internal teams.
